Rapid prototype CNC machining for R&D teams, product development engineers, and startups worldwide. ISO 9001:2015 certified. DFM feedback on every quote. CMM inspection included. No minimum order.
✓ Single piece to 100+ parts ✓ STEP, DXF, PDF accepted ✓ NDA available

Every product development cycle has a moment when the CAD model needs to become a physical part — for fit checks, functional testing, regulatory submissions, investor demonstrations, or first article inspection. That moment cannot wait 4–6 weeks for a domestic machine shop's schedule. It needs a machining partner who treats a single-piece prototype with the same systematic attention as a production run, and delivers it in days.
Robocon CNC has been machining prototypes for R&D teams, product engineers, and hardware startups across India, the USA, Germany, the UK, and the Middle East since 2005. Every prototype quote includes free DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback — flagging features that increase cost or risk quality before you commit a budget. Every prototype ships with a full CMM inspection report and material certificate. No minimum order, no setup fees on simple parts, no compromises on inspection.
Send your STEP file or PDF drawing today. You will have a detailed quote with DFM notes in your inbox within 24 hours.
Every quote includes free Design for Manufacturability feedback. We flag sharp internal corners that need relief, tolerances tighter than necessary for the function, and features that will significantly increase cost — before you sign off on a design.
Standard prototype lead time is 5–7 business days from drawing approval. Express 3-day turnaround available on request for urgent product development timelines — contact us to discuss.
Every prototype is CMM inspected against all critical dimensions. A full dimensional inspection report is supplied with the part — essential for first article submissions, regulatory filings, and NPI sign-off packages.
FedEx and DHL International Priority deliver prototypes to USA, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Israel, and worldwide in 3–7 business days from dispatch. Pan-India courier for domestic customers in 1–2 days.
From simple turned parts to complex 5-axis geometries — we machine prototypes across the full range of CNC capabilities, in the materials your application requires.
Complex multi-face geometries from a single setup on Mazak Variaxis 5-axis machining centres. For prototype parts with compound angles, deep pockets, undercuts, or sculpted surfaces — features that require 5-axis to machine correctly without re-fixturing and datum shift errors.
Learn more →Precision CNC turning for prototype shafts, fittings, valve bodies, bushings, and rotational components. Live tooling and turn-mill centres handle complex turned prototypes with cross-holes, flats, and threaded features in a single operation.
Learn more →No minimum order. We machine 1-piece prototypes with the same setup discipline and inspection rigour as production runs. Dedicated fixturing, full CMM inspection, and material traceability certificate supplied — not optional extras.
Prototype machining with full First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, CMM dimensional inspection, surface finish reports (Ra measured), and PPAP Level 1–3 documentation — ready for OEM quality submission without additional steps.
Anodizing (Type II & III), bead blasting, hard chrome, electroless nickel, and powder coating available for prototypes. Specify your finish requirement at quote stage — all finishing services from a single supplier with no subcontracting delays.
Once your prototype is approved, we scale directly to bridge production (10–100 pieces) and then full production runs — same supplier, same tooling, same quality systems. No re-qualification, no new supplier risk.
We offer two lead time tiers for prototype CNC machining — standard and express. Both include DFM feedback, CMM inspection, and material certification.
We machine prototype parts in all common engineering materials — from standard aluminum and stainless to exotic alloys and engineering plastics.
Don't see your material? Contact us — we machine most machinable metals and engineering plastics.
We machine prototypes for R&D teams and product engineers across all major technology and industrial sectors.
Structural prototype brackets, housings, and precision assemblies in titanium, Inconel, and aluminum 7075 — with AS9100-compatible FAI documentation and full material traceability for first-article submissions.
Prototype surgical instruments, diagnostic device housings, implant trial components, and lab automation parts — machined in 316L stainless, titanium, and medical-grade plastics with FDA-compliant material certificates.

High-purity prototype reactor components, fluidic manifolds, and instrument housings in Hastelloy, 316L stainless, and PTFE — with full material traceability and RoHS/REACH compliance documentation.
Prototype optical mounts, spectrometry housings, microfluidic bodies, and test rig components — machined to micron tolerances for research institutes and scientific instrument OEMs worldwide.
Send your STEP, DXF, or PDF drawing via our quote form. Include material, tolerance class, surface finish (Ra), required certifications, and quantity. Even a rough sketch or early-stage CAD is fine — we can help assess feasibility.
Within 24 hours you receive a detailed quote with per-piece pricing, lead time, and free DFM feedback — identifying any features that risk quality or inflate cost, with suggested modifications to consider before machining begins.
Parts are CNC machined to your drawing specification, CMM inspected on all critical features, and packaged with a full dimensional inspection report, material certificate, and surface finish report. Ready for your first article review.
FedEx or DHL International Priority from Pune to your address worldwide in 3–7 days depending on destination. Pan-India courier delivery in 1–2 days. Tracking number and customs documents sent before the package leaves our facility.
Upload your drawing today and receive a detailed quote with DFM feedback within 24 hours. No minimum order. No commitment required.
No minimum order quantity. We machine single-piece prototypes through to production runs of 10,000+ parts. Prototype orders (1–10 pieces) may include a small setup charge on complex parts; please request a quote for your specific drawing to get accurate pricing.
Our standard prototype lead time is 5–7 business days from drawing approval. Express 3-day turnaround is available for simple to medium complexity parts subject to capacity — contact us with your drawing and deadline to confirm availability.
Yes, always. Every prototype quote includes free Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback. We review your drawing for features that may increase cost, risk quality, or cause tolerance compliance issues — such as sharp internal corners requiring expensive EDM, tolerances tighter than the function needs, or conflicting datum references. We flag these with suggested modifications before you commit to machining.
Yes. All critical dimensions on prototype parts are CMM inspected. A full dimensional inspection report is supplied with every prototype shipment — essential for first article inspection (FAI) submissions, regulatory filings, customer approval packages, and NPI sign-off processes.
We accept STEP (.stp, .step), IGES (.igs), Solidworks (.sldprt), DXF, DWG, and PDF engineering drawings. A STEP file with a 2D drawing PDF or DXF is the preferred combination for the most accurate quote. If you only have a PDF drawing, we can still quote from that.
Yes. Material traceability certificates are supplied with every prototype order — ASTM/SAE grade for USA customers, EN 10204 3.1 for European customers, and standard Indian mill certs for domestic orders. Please specify your certification requirements at quoting stage.
Yes. We provide First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, CMM dimensional reports, material test certificates, surface finish reports, and PPAP Level 1–3 documentation with prototype orders. Please specify your documentation requirements at the time of quoting so we can include them in lead time and pricing.
Yes — and this is one of the key advantages of using Robocon for prototyping. Once your prototype is approved, we scale directly to bridge production (10–100 pieces) and full production runs using the same fixturing, programs, and quality systems. No re-qualification, no new supplier risk, no repeat DFM cycle.
