What materials can you machine for custom parts

Accepted Answer

We machine all common engineering materials: aluminum (6061, 6082, 7075), stainless steel (304, 316L, 17-4PH), mild and alloy steels (EN8, EN24, 4140), titanium Grade 5, Inconel 625/718, brass, copper, Hastelloy, tool steels (D2, H13), and engineering plastics (PEEK, Delrin, PTFE, Nylon). Material traceability certificates are supplied with every order - ASTM/SAE grade for USA, EN 10204 3.1 for Europe, and standard Indian mill certs for domestic orders.

What is the minimum order quantity for custom CNC parts

Accepted Answer

No minimum order quantity. We manufacture single-piece prototypes through to production runs of 10,000+ parts. Prototype and small-batch orders (1-10 pcs) may include a setup charge on complex parts; production pricing applies from 25 pieces. Volume discounts scale at 100, 500, and 1,000+ piece runs.

What tolerances can you achieve on custom CNC parts

Accepted Answer

Our standard tolerance is +/-0.01 mm to ISO 2768 fine grade. For precision applications, we use our Mazak Variaxis and Makino machining centres. All critical dimensions are CMM verified with full dimensional inspection reports supplied as standard.

Do you provide design support for custom CNC parts

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every quote includes free Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback. Our engineers review your drawing for features that may increase cost, risk quality, or cause tolerance compliance issues - such as sharp internal corners requiring expensive EDM, tolerances tighter than the function needs, or conflicting datum references. We flag these with suggested modifications before you commit to machining.

Can you handle both prototypes and production runs of the same part

Accepted Answer

Yes - and this is one of the key advantages of working with Robocon CNC. Once your prototype is approved, we scale directly to bridge production (10-100 pieces) and full production runs using the same fixturing, programs, and quality systems. No re-qualification, no new supplier risk, no repeat DFM cycle. Many of our customers use the same part number across prototype, NPI, and production phases for years.

What quality documentation do you supply with custom parts

Accepted Answer

Every shipment includes: material traceability certificate (ASTM/SAE or EN 10204 3.1 as required), CMM dimensional inspection report on all critical features, surface finish report (Ra) when specified, and First Article Inspection (FAI) report. PPAP Level 1-3 documentation is available for automotive customers. AS9100-compatible documentation packages are available for aerospace customers. RoHS and REACH compliance documentation is supplied as standard for EU/UK customers.

Accepted Answer

Yes. We ship to customers in the USA, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Israel, France, Italy, Australia, Turkey, Canada, and worldwide via DHL Express or FedEx International Priority. Lead times: USA/Canada 3-5 days, EU/UK 4-7 days, Australia 7-10 days. Pan-India courier for domestic customers in 1-2 days. Full export documentation and customs paperwork prepared from our end.
