CNC turning is the most efficient process for precision rotational components — shafts, bushings, pins, flanges, valve bodies, hydraulic fittings, and impellers. Robocon CNC operates dedicated CNC turning centres and turn-mill machines at our Pune facility, handling materials from free-cutting brass to Inconel 718 across diameters from 3 mm to 300 mm.
Our turn-mill centres add live rotary tooling to the lathe — enabling cross-holes, flats, keyways, off-centre features, and complex profiles to be machined in a single setup. This eliminates the re-fixturing that causes concentricity errors and datum shift when moving between a lathe and a mill. For complex turned components, this means better quality and shorter lead time in the same operation.
Every turned part is CMM inspected against all critical dimensions — diameter, concentricity, perpendicularity, thread pitch, and surface finish (Ra measured). Material traceability certificates, CMM inspection reports, and dimensional reports are supplied with every shipment as standard.
Live tooling handles cross-holes, flats, keyways, and off-centre features without re-fixturing — eliminating concentricity errors on complex turned parts.
Standard turning tolerance ±0.01 mm; precision applications to ±0.005 mm. Ground journal surfaces to h5/h6. CMM verification on all critical dimensions.
Bar-fed CNC turning centres for high-volume production runs — consistent quality from part 1 to part 10,000.
DHL Express and FedEx from Pune to USA (3–5 days), Germany/UK (4–7 days), Australia (7–10 days), and worldwide.
OD and ID turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving, and parting. Diameter range 3 mm to 300 mm. Length up to 800 mm.
Milling, drilling, tapping, and slotting on the same machine as turning. Cross-holes, flats, hexagons, keyways in one setup.
Metric, UNC, UNF, BSW, BSP, ACME, Tr, NPT, BSPT thread forms. Cylindrical grinding on bearing journals to h5/h6 class.
Automatic bar feeders for continuous production runs — pins, bushings, fittings produced in high volume consistently.
Single-piece and small-batch prototype turning in 5–7 days. CMM inspection and material certificates on every run.
CMM inspection on all critical turned features. Full dimensional inspection report supplied with every order.
Drive shafts, axle pins, bearing journals, gear blanks, sensor housings, hydraulic valve bodies, and EV motor shafts — machined to tight concentricity with CMM verification.

CNC turned parts are precision components manufactured on CNC lathes and turn-mill centres, where the workpiece rotates while cutting tools remove material to create cylindrical, tapered, or complex rotational shapes. Common turned parts include shafts, bushings, pins, valve bodies, fittings, bearing housings, and impellers.
CNC turning produces cylindrical and tapered features by rotating the workpiece. Turn-mill centres add live rotary tooling — milling cutters, drills, and taps — allowing cross-holes, flats, keyways, and off-centre features in the same setup without re-fixturing.
Standard CNC turning tolerance ±0.01 mm. Precision applications ±0.005 mm on critical diameters. Ground journal surfaces achievable to h5 or h6 tolerance class. All critical dimensions CMM verified with full inspection reports.
No minimum order quantity. We machine single-piece prototypes through to high-volume production runs of 10,000+ parts. Bar-fed CNC turning centres reduce per-piece cost significantly from 50 pieces upward.
Aluminum (6061, 7075), stainless steel (303, 304, 316L), mild steel, EN8, EN24, 4140 alloy steel, brass, copper, titanium Grade 5, Inconel 625/718, and engineering plastics including Delrin, Nylon, PTFE, and PEEK. SS303 is specifically recommended for complex turned parts.
