Everything you need to know about ordering CNC machined parts from India — tolerances, delivery, quality documentation, export, and more.
We accept STEP (.stp, .step), IGES (.igs), SolidWorks (.sldprt), DXF, DWG, and PDF engineering drawings. STEP files combined with a 2D drawing (PDF or DXF) are preferred for accurate quoting. If you only have a PDF drawing, we can quote from that — though a 3D file gives faster, more accurate pricing.
We have no minimum order quantity. We machine single-piece prototypes through to production runs of 10,000+ parts. Prototype orders (1–10 pcs) carry a small setup charge; production pricing applies from 25 pieces upward.
Standard RFQ response is within 24 hours on business days for machining quotes with supplied drawings. Complex multi-component assemblies or parts requiring special materials may take 48 hours. Submit drawings via our quote form or email info@roboconcnc.com.
Yes. Our engineers review all incoming drawings for manufacturability. If we identify features that may increase cost or risk quality — such as very deep pockets, sharp internal corners, or conflicting tolerances — we flag these in our quote response with suggested modifications at no charge.
Our standard machining tolerance is +/-0.01 mm. For precision applications, we routinely achieve +/-0.005 mm using our Mazak Variaxis and Makino VMC machining centres. All critical dimensions are CMM verified, with full inspection reports provided on request. For specific bore fits or surface finish requirements, discuss at quote stage.
We machine a wide range of materials including: Aluminium (6061-T6, 7075-T6, 2024), Stainless Steel (304, 316L, 17-4PH), Mild Steel, Alloy Steel (4140, 4340), Brass, Copper, Titanium (Grade 2, Grade 5), and engineering plastics including Delrin (POM), Nylon (PA6, PA66), PTFE, HDPE, and PEEK. Don't see your material? Contact us — we work with most machinable alloys.
Yes. We run Mazak Variaxis 5-axis machining centres capable of simultaneous 5-axis milling. This allows complex geometries, undercuts, and compound angles to be machined in a single setup — improving accuracy and reducing lead time vs. conventional 3-axis machining. See our 5-axis page for more detail.
We can achieve as-machined Ra 0.8–3.2 µm, fine milling Ra 0.4–0.8 µm, and ground finishes Ra 0.2–0.4 µm. We also coordinate post-process finishing: anodizing (clear, black, hard-coat Type III), electroless nickel plating, zinc plating, powder coating, and passivation for stainless steel. Specify surface finish requirements on your drawing or quote form.
Our machining envelope handles parts up to approximately 600 × 500 × 400 mm on 5-axis centres and up to 1000 × 600 × 600 mm on 3-axis VMCs. For turning, our maximum diameter is 300 mm with lengths up to 600 mm. Contact us for parts near or outside these limits.
Yes. Robocon CNC operates an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system (Certificate No. IBP2579679, issued by Interglobal Business Process). All parts are manufactured and inspected under documented quality procedures.
Yes. We provide First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, CMM dimensional reports, material test certificates (EN 10204 3.1), surface finish reports, and PPAP Level 1–3 documentation as required by US OEM customers. Please specify your documentation requirements at the time of quoting.
Yes. We provide EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates for all metallic raw materials as standard with export orders. Certificate of conformance (CoC) also available on request.
Yes. We routinely sign NDAs for customers with proprietary designs. A standard NDA is provided at quote stage. Your drawings and intellectual property remain confidential and are never shared outside our facility.
Prototypes (1–10 pcs): typically 5–7 business days. Small batches (10–100 pcs): 10–12 business days. Production runs (100+ pcs): 12–20 business days depending on complexity and quantity. Rush orders are available for simpler parts — contact us to discuss.
We ship via FedEx International Priority and DHL Express from our Pune facility. Delivery to the USA is typically 3–5 business days after parts are ready. European delivery (Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, France, UK) is 2–4 business days. We handle all export documentation, customs clearance, HS codes, and shipping insurance.
Yes. The USA is our largest export market. We supply OEMs in California, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Illinois, Florida, and all other states. We are experienced with US customs requirements and provide commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin for all shipments.
Standard payment terms are 50% advance, 50% before shipment for new customers. For established customers with a track record, we offer 30-day net payment terms. We accept USD, EUR, and INR via bank wire transfer (T/T). LC (Letter of Credit) accepted for large orders.
Our engineering team responds within 24 hours. Upload your drawing and we'll quote, or call us directly.
